Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Irish whiskey
- 0.5 oz demerara syrup
- 4 oz hot, strong coffee
- 1 oz heavy cream, lightly whipped until just pourable
- Garnish: pinch of cinnamon on the cream
Build
- Warm the glass with hot water; empty it.
- Add whiskey, syrup and coffee; stir.
- Float the cream over the back of a warm spoon.
- Dust with cinnamon. Don't stir; sip through the cream.
Zero-proof twin
decaf coffee, 0.5 oz demerara, same cream float.Batch for 8. brew 32 oz coffee, keep hot; add 1.5 oz whiskey and 0.5 oz syrup per glass; float cream to order.
